- RK Meroitic - Hieroglyphics & Demotic
- Three fonts by R. Kainhofer.
Historical: The inhabitants of the empire of Meroe (present-day Ethiopia) were the first
people to use a literal script. The signs for this script were borrowed from the Egyptian Hieroglyphics
(they did not use all the many hundreds of Hieroglyphics, but selected just 23 of them). They used two
different scripts: Hieroglyphics and Demotic, ie the two fonts RK Meroitic (Hieroglyphics) and
RK Meroitic (Demotic) of this package.
The third one, RK Meroitic Transscript, is used for transcriptions.
